Ambient Sound was founded by Carl Sangiolo and Chris Mitchell in 1993 and was incorporated in 1999 as Ambient Sound Company, Inc. (ASC).
As home audio and video systems grew in popularity and complexity, we realized that there was a growing need for reputable, high quality consulting and installation services to guide consumers through this often complex and confusing process.
Through the years, ASC’s reputation and outstanding customer service has allowed the company to grow considerably. Currently, we service a wide array of both commercial and residential customers throughout the New England area.
Chris Mitchell - Our resident Construction Engineer
Chris brings to the table 17 plus years of construction experience along with a strong background in estimating and project management.
Because of the depth of Chris' experience, ASC can provide services from the simplest speaker installation to the home theater or presentation room of your dreams, with complete turn key construction services.
Chris' qualifications include:

Carl Sangiolo - Our resident Electrical Engineer
A graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT), Electrical Engineering Technology Program.
Carl has been involved with consumer electronics and electronics manufacturing since the mid to late 1980’s. Most of his early years in consumer Electronics were spent under the dashboards and in the trunks of cars, as well as selling home stereo equipment in a small store on the South Shore of Massachusetts.
Upon graduation from WIT, he worked as an engineer and quality assurance manager at Datasonics, Inc, a Cape Cod based company that manufactured high tech oceanographic and offshore products for commercial and government applications.
It is from this diverse background that Carl has developed his ability to guide customers through the maze of new technologies related to the custom home audio and video field, and ensure that his customers receive a final product ideally suited for their unique entertainment purposes.
